Hello, I’m Neenel.

Hi! I'm Fatima, a.k.a. Neenel - polyglot writer of literary fiction and poetry from Azerbaijan. Educated across four countries - the US, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Poland - in Russian Philology, Linguistics, Economics of Tourism, and Data Science.

I write from the perspective of an immigrant woman navigating and surviving the contradictions of postmodern capitalism. My literary work is inspired by the fascinating personalities and lives of ordinary people from working and middle class backgrounds: their historic material conditions, and the literary traditions, art and culture of the Caucasus.
